It is easy to start a project in such a natural beautiful space… Gravitypope tailored goods Edmonton sure fit the bill. What we needed to do here was clean up the space, refinish the floors as existing, new task and ambient lighting, change rooms and display fixtures.
At first walk-through, 1920s haberdashery beckoned. We contacted our various pickers throughout North America and came up with a old Men’s shop in Tennessee that was finally closing it’s doors. It was packed full of vintage cabinets of-the-day….what luck that they fit so perfectly into our design and the space. Louise (owner) found special hand-printed wallpaper which was a must. Change rooms were fabricated using various fabrics including felt sheets and linen on steel frames. 1920s vintage lighting was sourced through various travels to antique markets and shops across Canada and the US.
The result is a comfy space that brings us back to times when clothing was a non-disposable lifestyle surrounded by richness.
